Students present a meaningful object or photo, share its story, and answer questions. Also called: Structured Experience Sharing.
Procedure
- Students bring an object or photo that is meaningful to them.
- Introduction: identify the object (30 seconds).
- Story: explain its background and significance (2-3 min).
- Q&A: classmates ask follow-up questions (1-2 min).
Tips
- Model the activity yourself first to set expectations and reduce anxiety.
- Establish respectful listening ground rules before starting.
- Allow "virtual" show and tell (photos on phone) when physical objects are impractical.
