Jigsaw Listening

Groups listen to different recordings, then share to reconstruct the full picture. Also called: Split Listening, Split Viewing.

Procedure

1. Prepare 3-4 different audio clips on related aspects of a topic.
2. Each group listens to only one clip and takes notes.
3. Regroup with one member from each listening group.
4. Each member shares what they heard.
5. New group answers questions that require information from all clips.

Tips

• Use clips from the same source (e.g., different parts of an interview, different news reports on the same event).
