The student in the hot seat asks yes/no questions; the audience gives clues.
Procedure
- A student sits facing the class, back to the board.
- Teacher writes a word on the board.
- The hot-seat student asks yes/no questions to figure out the word (e.g. "Is it alive?" "Can you eat it?").
- Audience answers only yes or no. Rotate after each round.
Tips
- Set a question limit (e.g. 20 questions) to keep rounds moving.
- Great for practising question formation, especially at lower levels.
