Procedure

1. Students read the source text (e.g., a news article).
2. Assign a target genre (diary entry, letter, social media post, radio script, poem).
3. Students rewrite, adapting register, format, and style.
4. Pairs compare: what changed? What was kept? Why?
5. Share the most creative transformations.
