Each student reads a different section of a text, then shares to reconstruct the whole.
Procedure
- Split a text into 3-4 sections.
- Each student reads only their section.
- Students who read the same section meet as "expert groups" to discuss and clarify.
- Regroup with one expert per section.
- Each expert summarises their section; group reconstructs the full text.
Tips
- Include a final comprehension check that requires information from ALL sections — this ensures genuine listening during sharing.
